| Good Friday's Round Ten of the Kingstone Press Championship was spread across Four kick-off times. Toulouse travelled to London for a lunchtime encounter with the Broncos while the heavy woollen derby between Dewsbury and Batley kicked off ahead of the bulk of the other fixtures.
Leaders Hull KR entertained Featherstone Rovers, Swinton Lions were at Oldham and the Sheffield Eagles travelled to Rochdale to take on the Hornets.
There was one evening kick off as Bradford Bulls took on Halifax.
The Broncos led from the front to take a stunning victory from Toulouse, their third loss of the season. Pitts and Barthau both scored before the half hour mark but tries from Marguerite and Kriouache reduced the arrears to 10-12 at the interval. Kheirallah put Toulouse ahead just after the restart but Williams, a second from Barthau and a late four pointer from Davies sealed a 30-16 win.
Glover scored a try and kicked five goals in Dewsbury Rams 20-4 win over the Batley Bulldogs. Glovers fifth minute converted try, along with two penalties gave the Rams a 10-0 lead before Hayward scored for Batley. Morton added another try before half time which Glover again converted. The only scoring action of the second half were two penalties as Glover completed his personal haul of sixteen points.
Hull KR continued their unbeaten march back to Super League but it wasn't without some effort against a dogged Featherstone Rovers. Quinlan (KR) and Davies (Fev) exchanged early tries before Clarkson and Cockayne made it 14-8. Duckworth added another for Fev and the sides went into the sheds at 14-14. Shaw extended that lead on forty-two but an Aston penalty kept Rovers close and when Thackeray went over just after the hour the visitors had a 22-18 lead. But they held onto it for just two minutes before a converted Hodgson try gave KR the advantage and Blair secured the points and a 30-22 win with five minutes left on the clock.
It was a close fought thing at Oldham where the Roughyeds ran out as 22-18 winners over Swinton Lions. Gee and Lepori had given Oldham a 12-0 lead at the interval which Ward extended to 18-2 after forty-six. Tries from Butt and Hankinson brought Swinton right back into it at 20-12 with plenty of time remaining but second Leatherbarrow penalty made it 22-12 seven from the end and a late Murphy converted try could only get the visitors within four.
There were sixty points at Rochdale as the Eagles picked off the Hornets. Crowley opened the Rochdale scoring but Lo, Minchella and Burns had all scored for Sheffield before Tahraoui got Rochdale's second. Lo added a second before the break and Spedding scored on the stroke of half time to give Sheffield an unassailable 30-12 lead. Straughier stretched Sheffield's lead before Galbraith got Rochdale's third. The last score of the day saw Lo complete his hat-trick to help his side to a 42-18 win.
It was a tough day at the office for the Bradford Bulls as they lost 22-12 to Halifax after being outplayed for most of the game. First half tries from Saltonstall and Grady had seen 'Fax open up a 10-0 interval lead. Johnson added a third try on the hour and it wasn't until the sixty-eighth minute before Macani opened the Bulls account. Within a minute of Bradford scoring Saltonstall got his second for Halifax before a late second for the Bulls from Ryan.
