| Just been reading on the YEP website about a new rule regarding the number of pets that council tennants are allowed to keep . There are very few details , but I am hoping my lad won't have to part with his stick insects .
Does anyone know where I can find out more details ?
Yes I did check it wasn't posted on April 1st .

| That's what I was hoping . A rule to stop chavs having loads of huge dogs , and old ladies having hundreds of cats . Have found elsewhere that rodents , birds , and fish are exempt .
No mention of lizards , spiders , snakes etc , and more importantly ... stick insects .

| By the way . My lad only has one normal stick insect . It is called Bob . The others all look like bramble leaves and are unnamed . A few weeks ago we discovered that a (normal everyday domestic) spider had somehow found its way into the tank and had eaten a fair few . Thankfully it didn't get Bob .

| With all the ALMOs merging together they are completing new policies throughout as there were three different policies at one point. With this you are allowed to only keep two pets at the property.
Its very hard to not tell the LCC how many pets you have at your property now, as every LCC has to have a visit on a yearly basis, which are all unannounced.
Any animal that is believed to be dangerous, you are not allowed to keep at the property, EG Bees, venomous snakes. You are not allowed to keep live stock at your property, eg chickens.
More inportantly, if you are in a building that has a communal area (Multi Storey Flat or Low Rise Flat) you are not allowed to keep a animal at all.

| Bees aren't dangerous, they won't make much honey if your keeping them indoors though, not unless you have a big expense account at a local florist and have daily deliveries - or can bees make honey out of carpet fluff, and what would it taste like ?
And who first thought it would be a good idea to eat the inside of a bees nest anyway ?

I've often seen a pitbull or a bullmastiff taking it's chav for a walk.
5 of them taking just the 1 for a walk isn't really a working configuration.

| Do you think they'll take my cat Batley off me?
I only have the one pet and I don't live in a council flat, but if I ask nicely do you think they might make an exception?

You should be ok as long as you only have one gimp and either a cat or a dog . If you have a cat AND a dog you will have to choose which one of the three you are going to let go .
Difficult decision . Which one eats the least cake ?

| My youngest daughter lives like an animal or at least her room resembles more of a nest. Is there any chance the council will take her away?
I do hope so, although I doubt it. I once asked them to take an old fridge away and they said if I left it outside on the pavement someone would come and collect it. After 3 weeks I had to take it to the tip myself.

I once rang them to take a washing machine away, they booked me in for a collection 3 weeks away so we left it around the back until the day of collection then put it out the front, ten minutes later it had gone so I rang them to thank them (I'm nice like that), they told me that their vans hadn't left the depot yet and if it had gone should they cancel my call.
The scrap fairies round here hoist anything within nanoseconds of you putting it out.
