its just he picked a team which will struggle so its harder to adapt. had he gone to a stronger team it wouldve been better for him

the tigers need some big forwards so clearly hes a big signing for them

Ellis did a lot better in his first game than he did against the Cowboys.
He was caught out in defence a couple of times and one of those mistakes led to a try.
Looked lost in attack but tried hard and kept going all game in conditions he has probably not played in too many times in his past.

Hope he keeps improving.

thats the tough thing about the nrl is the tough games every week

he did well enough in a really bad side

and it will take him time to get used to the humidity in townsville

and its not as if the tigers are a strong NRL team.

hes looking like one of their best players which is a fair effort since hes just got there.

FWIW i think Ellis will be a success over there as I think the NRL is well suited to his game. I really would like to see McGuire go over there for a few years as I think he has the ability and it would improve his game emmensly!


Can't wait until May when i get to see Ellis playing for the tigers in the flesh, so to speak!
