Do we think top 8 is still reachable, I know it is mathematically but realistically?

After the performance on Friday I think so, granted its not in our hands, but I can definitely see our team improving and if we do not do it this year I honestly cannot wait for 2015!!

Looking at the run in I think widnes will one more game which will put us in there if we win all the games.

Wakey is going to be tough next week as they are in the same boat as us, really looking forward to next week now!!

Might I suggest you go for a cold shower - we don't play until two weeks today.

well apart from Hull K R picking up a point , results couldn`t have gone any better in this round of games .

Oh for a win at Cas. Those 7 extra Fergie time minutes might well come back to haunt us!

Next games are crucial

Wakefield v Salford - Salford win
Hull v KR - Hull Win
Widnes v Wigan - Wigan win

Wakey v Salford is setting-up to be a real beauty. Cue Tim Smith to have a blinder...

Widnes have had a bit of a hoodoo over Wigan on that plastic pitch so if that continues then our task is harder.

I'd let Smith play - no need to give the opposition extra incentive......surely we know his game well enough...?

I fear that you might be right. Smith will come back to haunt us.

I still think it’s out of reach for this season (just). I fully expect us to win our remaining 3 games, but I fear that points difference may be our undoing, plus I also think other results won’t go as we would like. I fully expect Hull KR to beat Hull FC which would be a major blow, I also have a funny feeling that Widnes may pull off a shock against Wigan, Widnes should also beat Bradford (although their form has been good of late) Catalan will beat London comfortably at their place and that should see them make the 8.

The point I guess I’m trying to make, is we are still relying on other teams results so it’s technically not in our hands.

How exciting could the Widnes game last match of the season be, if it came down to winner takes all?!

Looking at the remaining fixtures, I reckon we'll do it.

I predict:

Wakefield will lose at Cas and beat HKR at home = 21 pts
Widnes won't win again = 23 pts
HKR will beat Catalans = 23 pts
I am (have to be!) confident we will win our last 3 games = 25 pts.
