The player currently keeping Charnley out of the Leigh 1st team is Keanan Brand.
A young player that we recruited from Widnes, but was released to Leigh on a freebie by Wire, without being given a proper chance.
Leigh are off loading Charnley now and if we sign him, it illustrates the incompetence of the Wire succession plan for our team.
If you remember Price gave him his chance against Leeds away, and his opposite number was a very much in form Konrad Hurrle. He had no chance
He was and still is a bit on the small size to play centre.
Leigh are playing him on the wing, I don't recall him ever playing there in our reserves or first team.
