Deeeekos:
I think argument can be made that Wigan didn't compete with any real intensity (the low gear adage) but I think a lot of positives can be taken from that performance, especially given our recent hidings at Wigan (0-1 excluded).
Short turn around but basically a full squad and the heads didn't drop.
It did highlight our two biggest defensive blunders we've been doing consistently this season, letting the ball bounce and especially never wrapping the ball in contact, someone should never score when they have four defenders on them.
Either way Trout shines again, the pack looks better for the addition of Joe, the only player I have had some small nagging doubts about it McIntosh, he can seem flightly sometimes, lacks concentration.
I think our short 5 day turnaround performance was a lot better than Wires 7 day turnaround at Wakey. Don't forget, we are still trying to find our feet with all our newbies, and we've had to contend with injuries at the same time. I personally think we're doing well under the circumstances. A win against Hull Fc on Thursday will put us in a great position.
