| It sounds daft, but hear me out..
So after watching the Dallas Mavericks beat Denver Nuggets in the Basketball 102-84, the screens in the stadium flashed up with a graphic that read;
"Grab your free taco from tacobell by turning in your ticket stub!"
So I asked my boss, who's from Dallas, what that's all about and he explained if the Mavs win, whilst scoring 100 points or above, everyone with a ticket gets a free meal.
So that got me thinking - how would that work in Rugby League? .. What win margin would be considered free food territory.. and what food? .. I reckon free Sub of the day after a win of 30 points or above..

| Wigan pies used to be incredible.. a proper Pooles pie. Galloways are OK, but they're not old school Pooles..
A Subway - whilst not being remotely 'Wigan' is an international company with shat loads of cash. Now imagine if Wigan struck a partnership with them and we all got a free sub of the day after thrashing teams by 30 points or more.. Imagine how good that'll taste after pasting Saints!

| Personally I'd rather eat the ticket than a Sub - probably more nutritious and healthier too.

| I've heard of a few teams that do that in America. I think it was the San Jose Sharks ice hockey team that gave fans a free pizza if the team scored a goal in the last 2 minutes of the game. It got to the point that in those last two minutes the fans started chanting "We want pizza!" over and over!

I saw the LA Angels baseball team score 9 runs in a game. 10 runs got free chicken wings for everybody at Hooters! The crowd were chanting 'Chicken Wings' throughout the last innings.

| I remember watching a documentary about a basketball team in Flint, Michigan, that did a similar thing in order to improve attendance. I don't remember all the details but I don't think it ended well. Are Wigan fans really that greedy that they will turn up to a game they would otherwise avoid just because they might get a pie out of it?
