I don't think he has handled that interview well.
For the record I like Wane and want him to stay and be successful for the long term,
but as it stands he's won less than John Kear.

I don't see them as astonishing at all.... Whats wrong with ambition!! If he said his ambition was to coach a championship side i would be "Astonished"..
For goodness sake!
For the record, a coach in another sport has just been given a rather high profile job, with only this trophy as a manager.

I'm of the same opinion, Wane may have learnt a lot from Maguire but I wished he paid more attention to how he handled the media. |

Couldn't agree more IMO Wane seems far too arrogant to an outsider like me and until he has delivered owt worthwhile and on a regular basis too then he's closer to coaching Swinton than he is moving to the NRL unless he fancies the kit man s job |

Don't really see what the problem is in what he's said tbh. He was asked if he'd like to coach in the NRL if he got the chance, why would he not want to coach there? Not just players that want to test themselves. I hope we keep him for a long time, but I'd love to see him succeed over there too!
For what it's worth Mick Potter and Trent Robinson have both been given NRL jobs and neither of them won any trophies over here. Robinson didn't even make a final! They could tell he's a quality coach though, as he's proving with the resources!
