Saints, Leeds and Wire losing. Probably couldn't have gone better for us.

Things feel pretty good at the minute. We're playing well and can improve further and guys with question marks against their names (Williams,Crosby,Tautai etc)a few weeks back are really starting to show their worth.

A good solid win in the Cup will leave us nicely placed on all fronts.

League looks pretty good at the minute but I can't help but feel we're in a slightly false position.

Everything good that has been said about Wigan this year has related to home performances. The only one of the top sides we've played away from home this year was Leeds and we play them again in Newcastle. In all games away from the DW stadium (including pre-season games) we've been average at best and dreadful at worse.

Out of the 9 games left in this phase of the season, 6 are away with 5 of them being against the top sides (Leeds, Warrington, Saints, Huddersfield and Catalans).

Weve struggled against the lower sides this year so apart from leeds away weve done pretty good against those

We just need more home games. I'm dreading this 5 week away from home run. We could easily lose 4/5 and then we play Salford at home who will have a bunch of players back.

If we win our next two games we go top! The magic weekend could be another good away day.

We'll turn our away form around over the coming weeks. They will see it as a challenge and I think that's when we're at our best.

I think the away win at Wildcats was important just to break the hoodoo.
They've broken the run, and have a nice level of consistency in the team.
This has allowed combinations to gel, and confidence levels are higher, so it SHOULD allow us to approach the spell of away games with a little more hope.

However, confidence in sport is a fickle mistress, so we'll just have to wait and see. I am confident we can get at least 3/6 from the remaining away games.

How poor is super league at the moment? We shouldn't be anywhere near top after our form this year.

Maybe, but it is competitive in the main. Wigan's poor form at the start of the year aside, I've really enjoyed this year so far.
