God the ref was awful..... comments please

is it the first time ever that the referee has brought his son and dad to be the linesmen . the touches were dire one looked 14 and the other looked 60 make no wonder Danny b shouted at him.

Definitely a very poor display of refereeing. Not biased; just bad! Touch judges no better. Well done to both teams for not getting involved in a slanging match with the 'officials'.

It appears that Terry Halibut makes 75% of his decisions based on pure guesswork....and that gormless look on his face does nothing to aid his cause.

Klein was a cheat and the French lad is completely clueless, he made it up as he went along.

That said (apart from the blatant offside of Gidley and Cunningham) the line speed of Saints was unbelievable, people tend to notice sides like Leeds and Saints for their attacking prowess, but their defence is immense!

Its a poor state of affairs im affraid. The full time pro refs are no better - just a little bit fuller of themselves. Bentham - is a complete idiot - did anyone else notice that the last time he was at BV he had grease smothered across his eye brows - so embarassing - obviously a case of a ref that desperately wants to be a player. The RFL forced one of the decent refs to quit in Kirkpatrick and we are left with a poor set. Not sure why the policy on line judges is that you need to be either under 15 or over 70 and under 10 stone or over 16 stone. Eaqual opps i guess!
