Very surprised after last week we have shuffled so much round. Must be tactical.
I’d have just had High or Lingard in and as you were tbh instead of moving 2/3 players out of their consistent position.
Maybe it’ll play out well. Looking forward to seeing how we go.

Huge month ahead. This block could define our season. Catalans at home, Hull away, Huddersfield home, Leeds away. If we can get McMeeken and Hamlin-Uele back for all four games and win three - including Hull - I'd wager we'll make playoffs. If we lose two including Hull, that's us done. Huddersfield away Leeds at home, we've already been to Leeds twice in the league Better to be talking about top six, than bottom two Think with all the injuries to main forwards ,and problems in the spine ,do not think we will make top 6 ,but very happy to finish in top 8 .Will /Could get shot down for this but think the way things are in the spine at presents ,all the other teams in the top 6 have better chance than us. First time that Wires have had there full spine on the field against Hull since Wembley and it was fast ,If/We have improved so much this season and we are playing some nice football that is great to watch It we improve again next year, we could make the top 6 with games to spare I’m not sure of your up to date but we have Trueman and Lino who’ve looked threatening together and like a top 6 pairing (or thereabouts). Also, Ollie Russell is almost recovered from his hand operation so could even be available this or next week. I think that puts us in a strong position in the half backs. Even assuming that Trueman hasn’t done anything major other than a few bangs to his shoulder. As for the forwards, we are competing with teams around mid table with a makeshift forward pack. We are over next 1-4 games going to have a full pack to choose from with 2-4 coming back for last 8 games or so. That to me puts us in a fairly strong position especially with Salford 2 x, Cas, Hudds and a couple of games with teams around us coming up. Can see were you coming from ,with Salford, but Can away and Huddersfield are in a far better place than they were a few month ago .The next four games are the ones that matter ,the Question is are we going to have players back in time to make us stronger Not in a month or two when it could be too late down to circumstances out of our control Nothing g is out of our control. It’s well within our control and yes we are starting to get players back starting hopefully next week onwards. That came from Powell. With how we have been playing I think we can afford the club and squad some positive hope we can reach the top 6 this season. |

Rhyse Martin has been charged with a Grade E Head contact AND un-necessary contact with a player who is, or may be, injured after a hit on Max on Friday !!!
I've just seen the video clip but don't remember it from Friday night....did we even get a penalty from it, cos the head contact looks bad but then he just tugs Max's shirt while he is laid injured on the ground ??

I put a bet on at the beginning of the year that we'd make top 6 and I'm still confident.
These games will go a long way to making that happen but I don't think we should fear anyone. Even with a depleted side.

I remember it because it was near the start of the game and I remember thinking oh not again, Max has gone down, same as last week. Then the Hull KR player grabbed his shirt and tried to pull him up when he was face down, which I thought was a penalty anyway when someone goes down hurt, especially with a head injury, but the ref just waved play on. Then Max stayed down and our medical team came on to see him. Didn't see who it was at the time and haven't watched it back. |
