can you possibly pick the back 7 next week?

Tansey has to come in for me, as well as Whiting played he seemed to get cought in poseession alot when he joined the attacking line. Tansey gives us an extra threat as his speed can get us an extra couple of yard of space. That said Whiting played very well and I don't see how he can be dropped totally. Hall showed why he is the best centre at the club imo, Yeaman looked very strong, Briscoe, despite a couple of mistakes certainly didn't do enough wrong to warrant being dropped and Calderwood, Horne and Turner all had strong games.

So who do you pick next week?

Personally I would bring Tansey straight in for Whiting and put Whiting on the bench for Houghton. I really rate Houghton but we look alot better with Berro on the field and if he is capable of 80 minutes he has to play them imo.

That all said it is a real headache for Agar, allbeit a good one.

keep 1-7 as the same as last night, tansey on the bench, any problems he can cover fullback, the halves or hooker, houghton to miss out on the bench

Thats my thinking at the minute.

Only change I'd be tempted to make would be Tansey into the halves assuming Long is still out.

That works for me. Tansey from the bench could provide the plan B for half back if things dont so well next week as well as quality back up for a number of other positions.

5 games into the season on Friday it would be nice to try to keep Berro out there for 80 mins too. (Tansey backed up 9 for sometime at Leeds didnt he so gives the option though if Berro needs a breather)

I've not been hugely impressed with Houghton yet this year.

Not saying I agree with it but I can see Tansey coming in for Turner and the reason given will be that Turner is still on a learning curve with the club.

I personally thought Turner gave an extremely good account of himself last night and always feel winning teams should not be tampered with !

Turner is still learning which is why having Tansey on the bench would provide a plan B if it wasnt working. That and his performance last night should ensure he gets another start at stand off.

Of course he is I understand that. I just think a winning team should be left alone and Tansey should have to wait to get back in the team so he will think before messing up again.

exellent performance by all last night, i dont think any one deserves to be dropped but against cas it will be a different kettle of fish, Tansey has to have some part of the starting line up, he offers so much in attack! Il leave this one with Agar, il sit on the fence

I completely agree with you Turner should keep the shirt. That said if Long is fit (not that I think he will be) then does he come straight back in despite the team playing well and winning? He will do.
