The right batch of players awarded, especially pleased for Talanoa, top 4 for Players player too. Really revs the crowd up and loves his rugby. Westerman great season, can't find words for what Ellis brings, but evident to anyone there last night. Immense.

I reckon personally between tala feka n thompson between their reputations n saleries this yr we've had the best value for money individuals than any other team!

We can't talk about player salaries according to Bonaire. He seems to be MIA. 18 posts slating various aspects of the club in the last week, then radio silence since 4.30pm on Friday.

A little surprised at fans poty, apart from first 6, 7 games when he was very good, pretty average after that, Ellis by a country mile for me. 1865 must of manged to get about 2000 votes in for westys

They were our two best perfomers by some distance so perhaps fitting that both were recognised at the awards.

I know stats can be misleading but Westerman in terms of our squad in SL this season as well as being an ever present was 1st for tackle busts, 1st for carries, 2nd for tackles, 2nd for marker tackles and 2nd for metres mades. Mind you he was also top for missed tackles and penalties.

Definitely the right players got the awards this year. If Westy can sort his discipline, he'll be a great player.

Ellis has been our rock this year, what a signing he's been and that Talanoa stat just shows the value of him. He's had a season here, now he and Sa will get better.

I am very positive about 2015 and the kids we've brought through.
