Hasbag:Dave K.:
Need to watch it again, was all a bit of a blur, but who charged down the drop goals?
Was there 3 attempts, remember one that went on the floor, but was there two others charged down and my who?
I thought the first attempt was by Ashworth. Or if it wasn't Ashworth who actually did the charge down he was the one who chased the ball back 50 metres and tackled the Leigh player. Outstanding effort by him
Each of the charge downs was celebrated by the crowd akin to if we had just won the Cup. The atmosphere in the ground during extra-time was absolutely belting, the best it has been for a number of years. I was convinced Lam would nail one of his attempts but our scrambling chase to close him down each time epitomised our commitment throughout the full ninety minutes, hugely encouraging signs for what is to come.
I'm not a fan of golden-point and those ten nerve-shredding minutes last night did little to change my mind. It would have been grossly unfair on either side to have come out of last night's effort with nothing to show for it.
