Seems our Magic record is now 7 wins 11 defeats, which even in bare facts isn't exactly brilliant, but even the seven wins don't have too many decent performances in there.


Think we had a decent win over rovers one year, and the win over Warrington two years ago was probably the best we've played at the event, but by and large we never seem to perform at the weekend no matter who we play, last year being the best example here!!!!

I think union gives a yellow card which can then be upgraded to a red when the incident is reviewed during the 10 minute card period.   Seems a sensible approach and takes the pressure off to make an instant decision

Couldn’t agree more. Only issue is that it may make it an easy decision to use the yellow. On field decisions remain vital so this where we need more from touch judges who seem to do very little. The furthest away they can be is 40 yards but whos to say they need to stay welded to a touchline which could be VR decision where there’s doubt on inplay orout of play. Just a thought

The default position should be a yellow unless it's absolutely certain it's a red.  The yellow can then be upgraded to red on review by the VR.

Cartwright got it right when he said a red should only be given for deliberate foul play, not accidental clashes like cust
