Not good news for us at all, he's played a more club games since he retired from international duty and we struggle when he doesnt play

He talks about the international possibility in a piece on Sporting Life. He pays great credit to Hull. And acknowledges that not playing international rugby has meant he could hit top form this season. It's a massive compliment to the bloke that he's been linked to an international recall.

To be honest, as a big international fan, I'd love to see him in the squad. A player like him deserves to have international honours. Would love him to add a 4N medal to his CC and hopefully GF one!

I was only thinking today I wonder if he'd fancy it. To me it would be the chance to play under Wayne Bennett which would be the real tempter. It's been a dream season for the guy and maybe he sees this as the perfect ending.

There's every chance he'll get the option to at least consider when you think that Currie and probably O'Loughlin are out.

He's told the HDM that the scales are definitely tippng towards "no" but no-one from the England camp has asked him anyway. Doesn't rule it out but he's concerned how an extra six weeks of this season could affect next year which could well be his final season.

Because he's a top player and because two out of what would have been our starting three backrowers (Currie and O'Loughlin) have been ruled out.

It's a no brainer to ask IMO after the year he's had.
