Hi All. I'm not sure who's aware, but Hull City have given a months notice to all the community clubs based at the Airco arena, one months notice. They're planning on turning it into a Hull City training academy. This isn't about black n white or red n white, this is a community facility being commandeered by the Allams. A good friend of mine is being forced to look for new facilities for their team, and I'm sure alt of you know someone who uses the arena. Don't the city council own the thing? I thought that the SMC just ran it on thier behalf. If it comes about then the whole farce of it being a comunity stadium is nothing but a farce. City get £60 millon a year from TV, can't they build thier own 3G pitch. I will certaily support the petition (even though i am not from the city) It just looks to me that Hull folk have lost control of £45,000 000 worth of assets.

Allams' sporting village vision ... terminate other sports/clubs that don't conform to their agenda.

Ultimately the Council have to take blame for agreeing to let Adam Pearson buy the SMC way back then.

Forgive my indifference but I won't be signing or sharing this petition. I do however recall a couple of quotes from a wanabee mod only a few days ago who reminded us all " If it's not on the Hull board, it's on this board about Hull" and " Just that a small number of supporters are more concerned with what them lot are doing, really grinds my gears"
I am sure however that the Hull fans were grateful that you posted the online petition on their forum yesterday evening and likewise I am sure any remotely interested fan could pop over to sign it.

Using a thread like this, which is aimed at trying to drum up more support for our local clubs, to score points is pretty low.

Sign it or not, share it or not, that's fine. The rest of your post is snide garbage.

Your opinion of me matters little to be honest. If the original aim was to 'drum up more support for our local clubs' it would seem a post on a Hull City forum would be the place to start, rather than a Hull FC forum, with our own forum as an after thought hours later.
Must up the effort to make a moderator and kick start this forum 1/10.

Bit strange that you follow my movements on these forums so keenly. I'm flattered.

As a sports enthusiast and member of the community, I've been interested in what's happening at the stadium & have been following that thread on the Hull board for some time. I assume you noticed that they were already talking about it before I posted the link to the petition?

This morning when I had time, despite this forum being on it's Iestyn Harris, I thought it worth posting here, for those who unlike us two don't visit their forum, in an effort to inform more people & like I said, garner more support for it.

It's already on Hull City's forum on 606, and also linked within the comments section of the HDM article. But thanks for the 'advice'.

I know people who are effected by this, who are faced with potentially losing their clubs after years and years of voluntary hard work and dedication. Support it or not, state arguments for and against - that's your prerogative. You're just making yourself look like a bell attacking me personally.

Plenty of legislative, decision & policy changes have been driven by petitioners. They add pressure, inform, gain attention and help get issues spoken about, hopefully like this one will.
