|  There were two charges and a caution to come out of the weekends Ladbroke’s Challenge Cup semi-finals, and both were from the hard fought game between the Wigan Warriors and Salford Red Devils.
Wigan’s Sam Powell was charged, and Frank-Paul Nuuausala received a caution, while Salford’s Lama Tasi also found himself with a charge from the Red Hall disciplinary committee.
Nuuausala received a caution for a raised knee in a fifty-sixth minute incident with Logan Tomkins but escaped any further sanction.
Less fortunate was team mate Sam Powell who received a grade B charge following a so-called cannonball tackle on Lama Tasi in the twenty-eighth minute of the gameThe tackle caused Tasi some discomfort and he left the field to return laterIf found guilty then Powell faces a suspension of one to two games.
Lama Tasi, as well as being the victim of Powell’s tackle, was also charged for a fifty-sixth minute ‘strike with the shoulder’ against Taulima TautaiTasi’s offence is also a grade B charge carrying a tariff of one to two games. |
