On tonight's hugely commited defensive effort it augurs well for - dare I say it - a potential double.



That side of the team this season was the major concern: tonight it was a joy to watch.
Just like the good old Grand Trophy 3 wins in succession days

Let's win the league from 5th, if only for the sucession of 'bitter' letters that will fill the League Express the week after ....

They have the ability to, but it will be tough and there's still a huge amount of improvement needed if they are going to win either trophy.

I bet the letters page is worth framing sometimes

I do. IMO that was our best display of the season and come play offs no team would relish playing us.

maybe some teams looked at leeds and thought if we restrict them to 3 tries or less we will be gifted at least that, tonights defence was a lot better but theres still room for improvement and thats what will worry the other teams
we've restricted wigan to only penalties in a crunch game and they have also bottled big games against saints and warrington so who knows how they might react when the real pressure starts
warringtons season might depend on the cup final, lose that and confidence might drop plus they have the stigma of not being able to beat saints so again who knows how they will react
that leaves saints and injuries might make or break their season but they could beat any team in the league home or away and are used to the pressure

if leeds improve on last night then this years play offs is a genuine 4 horse race and that can only be good for rugby league

Possibly, although I'm hopeful of further improvement.

If Warrington are at their best then I don't think Leeds are good enough yet. I still wasn't confident at all with Leeds defence, there appeared to be gaps all over and they were lucky that either Cas couldn't utilise the overlaps or Leeds managed to put a few try saving hits in.

I still think we are producing too many errors, penalties and are kicking game is not upto scratch. Hopefully a good win next week will bring Eastwood and Lauitiiti some confidence back to get them playing at their best.

That's the best performance I've seen since the WCC.

Slightly off topic, but Sargent is the kind of player we need for next season, it's a shame he's off back to Oz.
