OK. I will say it. Is it too soon to ask this question. I watched Saints Wigan yesterday. There is no way we can live with them at present. Winning the GF from 5th last year has done us no favours. We now seem to have the mentality that this part of the season does not matter and as long as we put on our best game faces from mid August onwards then things will be ok cos we will win it again. I think the players won the final last year NOT the coach. IMHO I think the RL need to change the play off format (top straight to GF?) and I think we need a serious look at our selves, our attitude, and the vfm we are giving our paying fans (otherwise they will stop paying). Lots to sort out at both HQ.

...later on Radio 4 we can listen to the Oxford Union debate in which the country's brightest and well honed minds offer up topical and well constructed discussion on a variety of intellectual subjects.

Thanks Mclaren. Been around long enough to know my post would initiate a tiraid of abuse; however I still put the points on the table. We are playing awful at the moment. 2 possible and plausible causes. First the team has the mentality that the season starts 15 August. Second a situation similar to Saints with Royce. I live in Hampshire so do not get to many games. My family are regulars, but when they start saying they are going to skip games then I wonder how many others will too. Poor performances do not encourage paying fans, no paying fans no cash through turnstiles. Start of financial downward spiral

. On a serious note, it's great to be Superleague and World Champions but I wish we could live up to the tag on a frequent basis throughtout the regular season.

He has a point though. What is the point in buying a season ticket for the Rhinos whilst you see below par performances all year. Was last years success more to do with Wigan and Warrington fatigued and out of form rather than Leeds being better. You'd have to wait to the end of the season to see if last season was through a bit of luck or because they were worthy champions and better players as individuals and as a team.

Sure we have players out, but come on the last 3 matches have not showed us in a great light.

It's a case of missing quality whilst at the same time we have many out of "FORM".
All i hope Brian Mc does is give players like Chisolm and Singleton a chance now because it's time some lost their places.
As for "Simmons" country we have just won the WCC and there was always gonna be "lull" at some point there are issues that need sorting but i don't think it's critical nor un-fixable.
