we however play an important challenge cup semi final against the saints the week after playing catalans at home

i am wondering if sky could prove to be the arbitrating factor in when this game is played?

saints are playing hull kr at home on the friday whilst we are playing dragons at home on the sunday,surely if both sides win in round 22 then they both should play on the friday in round 23 with both sides kicking off at the same time?

anyone else prefer a 7 day turn around prior to the cc semi final?

Not worried at all. Catalans are awful away from home. Besides, I think Warrington will beat Saints at HJ on Thursday and we'll wrap up top spot on Friday.

We have to beat Salford first and yes I would sooner we had a seven day break instead of five.
It came back to bite us before and lets face it Catalans will not roll over even though they are poor away from home and might need the two points to stay in the eights.

For what reason? There's no trophy at stake or anything. The longer turnaround point yes, but it's not going to be moved.

Top spot is contested during the Super 8s, nothing will be wrapped up on Friday.

Yorkshire Vikings are playing in a T20 match so Headingley is not an option.

I think the point was that Hull KR and Catalans should both be playing at the same time, as their final games could determine who finishes in the top 8.

For me the goal would be to be in the top two after the super eights then you are one home game away from the grand final

And it is much easier to get that goal by finishing top before the 8's start.

Without a doubt, we also have a good points for in the league so if we can get a few results at home in the super 8s I think we should be good for a home semi.

That's if the points -/+ are carried over into the 8s ?

I'm sure that we won't forget how our season ended last year and that the Dragons may well need a win to stay in the top 8. Any idea that our last game of the regular season is a foregone conclusion is deluded IMO.
