I have noticed that the pie eaters have sold their allocation of tickets for the GF and we have a massive amount of room available in the West Stand......Are people hoping to buy these later this week do you think or are we showing up in pityful numbers again for what should be an historical Grand Final Derby and our numbers 9's last ever game!!!!

I have no doubt that we will still outsing the trolls from over the lump as they will be too busy tucking into their favourite gravy filled pastry delights, I just hope we have enough there to make the noise needed to get behind the lads for one final push in bringing our trophy back where it belongs for one last time (KR).

I think there are only sinlge spaces available in our stands so may not appear to be as bad as first thought......Surely Old Trafford have a ticket system that would not allow a single seat to remain in any area??

Yeah right. One of my relatives waited just a couple of hours after my own tickets were bought on Monday and he was told there were only single tickets available from Saints allocation, which means he's virtually sitting on the pitch. That sounds like massive gaps to me.

It can't be as bad as last year because we're playing Wigan this time. But I do know of some fans not going because they don't want to watch us lose for a fourth time.

actually mate, there is an excuse for some people why they cant be there.

There are lots of them, and people shouldn't have to justify themselves if they can't go.

Of course Wigan will take more fans than us, the fact they haven't been to a final for so long will mean there are more of there fans come out of the woodwork for the game. I think we will take more than if we had been playing Leeds again as the derby game buzz will bring more fans out.

acccording to the Guardian this morning, 65k tickets have already been sold. So not exactly going to be massive gaps in the Saints end.

but yes, it should have sold out on Monday morning.

What's the capacity at OT? 75,000?

[iSt Helens have rejected suggestions that their supporters may be outnumbered two to one by Wigan fans at Saturday's Super League Grand Final. Wigan sold out of their allocation of 12,000 tickets inside 48 hours, after four-hour queues formed outside the DW Stadium, whereas Saints still have tickets remaining at Knowsley Road despite sending some back to be sold centrally by the Rugby Football League.

However Tony Colquitt, the St Helens chief executive, believes "it will still be about 50-50 on the day", arguing mischievously that four consecutive Grand Final appearances have left his club's supporters more familiar with the variety of ways in which to buy tickets for Old Trafford.

"If you've not been there for years, you panic," said Colquitt – Wigan's last Grand Final appearance was in 2003. "A lot of the Saints fans know the routine; why would you go and queue up in the rain when you can just pick up the phone? We've had this every year, with a lot of our fans getting tickets from the League, and I'm confident that we'll be very well-supported."[/i

But this is the same man who came on the radio and told fans that the new Stadium would be completed by May 2011.

A friend of mine today bought 10 tickets (all together) an the Saints end today. Go on line and look at sections W310X
