would it improve our game if we adopted 2 rules from the aussies game 1...drop outs.....wen you get the ball u are not allowed 2 throw it away you hav 2 get on with it.....2.....srums....wen u form a scrum 2 stop the clock u must stay formed and not break away :

I agree with both those ideas, we waste time with the drop out and it is stupid when we form the scrum and then break off.

I think it's stupid that in the NRL they have to stay packed down, the ref surely knows the other team are just wasting time, so the clock should just be stopped anyway.

Why is it stupid ? why should the clock be stopped, it is a rule to improve the game and make the game flow...How many times do we watch teams dragging themselves to the scrum, the scrum forming then the game stopping, pointless.

Yeah but usually in a situation where a team is trying to run down the clock they are standing around wasting time anyway and are in no hurry to form a scrum.

That is why I agree with the rule, if we got them packed down without them wasting time it would be more entertaining for the game to just flow.

As long as the scrum it doesn't end up like union with the endless restarts, then i don't mind, agree it's should be quick.

Other changes needed are the speeding up of the tackle area / play the ball. I noticed faster play the balls in the French Elite league. Only problem is, speeding SL up might tire already tired players out even more, by the time it comes to the end of the season. At least the clubs will be discussing it this week.
