| With some of the recent discussions on here touching on the subject of some fans allegedly losing interest in the regular season, and finding games 'pointless', I thought it would be an idea to get an actual picture of how often people attend games compared to 5 years ago.
I've openly said I go to Wigan less often - there are several reasons for this, including a gradually waning lack of interest in some games and a resulting unwillingness to spend as much money on something I'm less enthusiastic about. That said, the other reasons are unavoidable and even if I was as enthusiastic as ever I wouldn't be able to go as much.
Select an option, give your reasons in brief and tell us who you support...

| [uOption[/u: I attend SL games [ufar[/u less often.
[uReasons[/u: Structural changes introduced (14 teams, Top 8 play-offs, franchising) which is a licence for rewarding mediocrity as there are only four half-decent teams. Regular season (and therefore season tickets) rendered meaningless and a waste of time, particularly in the case of top clubs who are guaranteed play-off places without raising a sweat. Reduction in overall playing standards and entertainment value which reflects the lack of importance of fixtures these days.
[uSupport[/u: The game first and foremost. I don't fall into the one-club supporter category.

| I personally go to as many wakefield games as I can, home or away and that will not change. however I also used to go to the challenge cup final every year regardless of who was playing and the same for the grand final, which I no longer do as I have no real interest in who wins them and the occasion is not what it used to be.
I also used to enjoy the Cardiff MM weekend, but a weekend in a Manchester housing estate does not have the same appeal, so I only attend the wakefield game and watch the rest on tv.

| Go to more games now than previously.
Decent gorup of friends, enjoy the craic, enjoy the game, enjoy Wakefield Trinity.
Didnt attend any of the internationals last season but, already have tickets for some world cup games.
When you compare the sport on offer against any its main rivals, football, union or cricket, RL is far superior, even if the 27 regular games are just a qualifying competition.
It must be difficult for the supporters of the big 4, who are only interested in the "big" games, i really feel sorry for them (not)

| I used to attend SL,CC,Championship and internationals.
Now i only attend Donny home games. I am totally sick of the way the game is going.
The DR/feeder club scenario leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
I do not like to go to the big games any more because drunken/yobbish behaviour is becoming more common.

| After having my interest in the game rekindled just a few years ago, getting more and more disillusioned with football, and enjoying the live experience of some cracking games (Widnes and Saints) - I'm keen to attend games more and more now.
Will go to as many Widnes home games as possible, 2 or 3 away games, and a few World Cup games including the final.

| Option: Exactly the same
Team: Wakey
Reason: Attend all home games (had ST for last 15 years) and usually get in about 6-7 away games. Also try and get to at least 1 international and sometimes go watch Fev or Dewsbury if Wakey arent playing.
In fact, probably go to one more game now because of the Magic weekend being in Manchester. Wasn't really fussed about Scotland or Wales.

| I attend less.
The reason is the price of petrol.
Tickets are still cheap but with petrol costs oin top no longer an option to attens all games.
Will attend about half of what i watched last season.

| attend more because it's getting better and better.
fine there are 3 different mini leagues in the super league.
fine i hate eddie hemmings
fine some games a crap blow outs. (because some teams are just plain better than others)
but the players are faster, bigger, stronger, more skillful and more clever than i've seen(only been watching 23 odd years though). add on to that games like tonight and i would say if you're going less you're missing out.
