When a player had been tackled, if isolated and there is no one at acting half, the tackled player can get up, tap it, and continue?

You used to be able to do that. Can't remember when they changed the rule. 1990s maybe?

The player can play the ball forwards if there is no marker, they also can (I think) play it backwards then turn round and pick it up but I'm not 100% on that one.

Used to do it as a kid, just had doubt in my mind if you could do it professionally.
Makes you wonder why they did away with it considering they like to make this game faster with every rule change.

Went out with super league coming in, like raking at the play the ball, I'd like to see that come back personally, not gonna happen though

If there is no one there you should play it backwards and turn around and pick it up.

You are allowed to drop the ball to play it backward with your foot, you do not have to place the ball on the floor with your hand directly. The refs are so dumb though and don't bother enforcing half the rules they probably don't even know the rule and would call it a knock on no matter what it states in the laws of the game.
