Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Third Round Draw
The draw for the second round of the 2016 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup took place tonight at The Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium in Wrexham and it saw the introduction of the Kingstone Press Championship 1 sides to the competition.

The draw was made by former Lance Todd Trophy winner Lee Briers (home teams) and former Leigh Centurions coach Paul Rowley (away teams).

The draw featured the nine winners from the second round along with the fifteen from Championship One to give a total of twelve ties.

Its the third round, goes like this:

1. 36 amateur teams including welsh and Scottish champions.

2. 18 winners of round 1 play each other in 9 ties.

3. 9 winners are joined by 15 league 1 teams for 12 ties.

4. 12 championship teams come in and play 12 round 3 winners.

5. 12 winners from round 4 are joined by bottom 4 super league teams from last year.

6. 8 winners joined by last years top 8 super league teams.

Then quarters, semis and final.

Some really interesting results in there, siddall perhaps being the most shocking. Glad to see Toulouse off to a winning start back in England.

The Rochdale derby actually finished 40-14 to the Hornets. No idea why BBC, Sporting Life etc are reporting it incorrectly but it seems in line with their reduction in services recently, listing incorrect venues, failing to list attendances etc.

I think wrong set of rules as well as wrong ball for a lot of people. The Catalans game hasn't even got a headline on bbc sport homepage let alone the challenge cup yet there was some crap about a random sale game and some union internationals that no decent human cares about.
