| Think this kid has been our player of the season so far. I've been banging his drum for a while now after watching him come through the ranks. He gives us a good kicking game which we has lacked since Dunemann and the real bonus is that he can be relied on to add the extra 2 points after we get over the whitewash. Not quite sure Full Back is his position would much rather like to see Fages dropped and let Sneyd build up a partnership with Foran. Think he may be off contract and end of the season, wonder if our new owners have learnt from previous mistakes of Wilky & co and have a sit down with him? The more he plays the more he will come into his own then showcasing his talents to the vultures that lie in waiting.

| Now young Theo didn't have his best game last night, but has still shown more than Foran this season. I would stick with Sneyd at Full Back, most "modern Full Backs" tend to be converted half backs. It also gives him more time when kicking, and last night he kicked superbly, constantly turning Saints around. The other big plus was that he continually caught the ball on the full, giving himself more time and space. MoM performance by Sneyd in my opinion.

| I agree Bill52. I'd definitely keep him at fullback after recent performances. Don't fix what isn't broken. Hope we don't rush into signing a 'half' decent fullback from the NRL now and give Sneyd more time to cement his place.

| It's all very well us making these obvious choices with regards to fullback. Sneyd should keep it imo. When the new coach gets appointed, they may have their own ideas, so everything might change.

| I thought Sneyd was excellent. He was your best player and actually I thought the best player on the pitch last night.

It's common knowledge that Ratchford was offered more money to stay at Salford than what Warrington offered him. As for Turner he had an offer but his agent wouldn't talk because he wanted to go elsewhere. Do you really think the club would let good young players leave as an oversight? It''s comical on here at times.

Your very naive to think it's acceptable to let your talents, young or established run into the last year of contract. Ratchford was being played out of position from winger to hooker but his contract should of been negotiated the season before as with Smith last season. He wanted to stay and was asking for a contract allowed to run into the last year, hits a decent bit of form, Wigan see the potential, it's not rocket science soon as he hears there is a sniff of Wigan, his career was over at Salford. If Sneyd continues his impressive form, his agent will start informing clubs that he is due off contract, as with Smith if one of bigger boys come in, his career at Salford will be over.

Perhaps you should ask yourself why they wanted to leave?

| If young Sneyd continues to improve all this talk about him moving to a bigger club is a non starter because in a few years time if all goes well the Salford City Reds may find themselves in the bracket of being call 'A BIGGER CLUB'

I wouldn't class Smith as a young player and for all we know his agent could have been demanding more than the club could afford or were willing to pay. Perhaps it was felt an equal player could have been brought in for less. As for the club not attempting to get the young lads to sign contract extensions, how do you know they didn't?

| All the lad can do is continue the way he's going. Any incoming coach will see his talent and hopefully stand by him. The trouble with a young player catching the eye is it turns the heads of bigger teams, and at this moment in time a young player can only be flattered by interest from the likes of Wire, Saints, etc. Until we are genuinely competing at the top end of the table, young players will still see an offer from a bigger Club as a better option in a short career to achieve what they want. Money isn't everything to a lot of RL players, but winning things and honours is.
