Absolutely embarrassing. That was the biggest game we have played at the HJ and our biggest league fixture in many a year yet the only people who seemed interested were Huddersfield fans. Okay they didn't fill the West Stand (or anywhere near it - I was in there and we had plenty of room) but by comparison to their usual away attendance it was a good two or three times the normal amount.

Why could we not fill our ground tonight?

I'm not even talking about the Wembley 30,000 here as we all know half of them are interested in finals and nothing else, but what about the regulars who have packed the ground out with bigger crowds than that all season? I appreciate it was short notice scheduling and some people might not have been able to organise time off work or whatever, but anyone moaning about the ticket prices (how DARE the club charge the same as they have for every other game this season - scandalous eh?!) or saving their money for week three (good plan eh?!) should be embarrassed to call themselves a Wire tonight.

Before anyone who really couldn't attend starts whinging - pack it in, I'm not talking about you. Any regular match goers who COULD have gone tonight but CHOSE not to though - hang your heads in shame because you let your team down.

People on here talk about expanding the ground? Pfft - try turning up when it matters first.

very poor crowd that and i toatally agree about wanting to extend the stadium whats the point when in a big game like this you cant even fill the current size

the same reason it was at wigan last night, it`s not a local derby, it`s live on telly and you have to pay to go.

3 crap reasons, but people have the choice to go or not.

It felt like the lowest attendance of the season with only about half of the usuals sat around us in the east and rows of empty seats.

True, but any of them who would have chosen to go next week or the week after but chose not to go tonight should be ashamed of themselves.

If they had chosen to go when it mattered then maybe, just maybe, it still might.

I'm not normally one to waffle on about the difference the crowd makes but that attendance must have been very deflating for our players and an inspiration for theirs.

Must have been at least 3,000 Hudds fans in that lot as well.

Great game though. Nearly had a heart attack at the end.
