Totally agree with that, Rowley got it wrong last season and blew your players out by the 8s. Let somebody else's forwards do some hard graft for you mid-season and then kick on at the end yourselves.

Spot on Norman. That was, in my opinion, one of the reasons we just weren't at the races, come the Qualifiers. I suspect other teams used their squads more wisely than we did, either out of necessity, or by a 'rotation' policy. I think the classic example, was having to chuck Ben Reynolds in to the Qualifiers, in a key role, when the lad had hardly had a look in, throughout the Championship campaign. Hopefully, he will now get more chances and be ready come the 'Qualifiers'. (providing we get there, that is!

Obviously we must need the lad for a reason.I dont go with the keeping the players fresh scenario or he'd have been in a month ago as cover.
If we are carrying knocks then fair enough and good luck to the lad.

Dont get me wrong,I agree with rotation to a point,but that rotation has to be through the squad,not using loanees.

We are inconsistant/unstable and I just feel by adding loanees now will add to those issues.

It's a fine balancing act isn't it? We need to rotate players to ensure that all are in a state of readiness, yet consistency will probably only be achieved by fielding a settled team! Glad I'm not the coach!!
