Does anyone know how long Harlequins were talking to the RFL for?
How much of a fire did Brian Mac light under the RFL with his comments in the media last month?
Also, will 2011 be the first time that Quins have specifically targeted amateur sides inregards to increasing attendences?

I know i read something about it on here earlier in the week, but what sort of numbers are playing RL in the South East or more specifically the Quins catchment area?
Anyways, the future looks good, it seems as if Harlequins are assured of a license til 2014 and that its felt as though there is some groundwork to build on for the next 4 years.

We all know the troubles we have as a club, but your constant negative and gloomy attitude is boring and very predictable.

1. Yes. Many a positive post in fact.
2. But at last.....the club have openly admitted they need fans. What worries me is that they spent 3 times what they normally do on marketing last year and got SFA in return.
Still, it is all looking very rosey in the TW2 garden at the moment.......and I may well just top up the hangover I have this morning to celebrate! |

That sounds very positive. It also sounds like your chairman has kicked the RFL up the backside with regard to promoting the sport. The RFL definitely needed a kick up the backside in this area. It is also very good news that they are enabling your chairman to become a 100% shareholder, especially given that IL was supposed to pay up by 2009. If they can't enforce their own rules then they should be held accountable for them to the benefit of the club suffering as a result.
Here's hoping for a competitive Quins next season and more fans through the gates to ease the financial pain. |
