I can only assume that folk have bought too much into the anti-Wigan propaganda that still floods message boards like TotalRL, wherein Wigan are the only team who ever make big signings and that this is why they are "always selling their young stars".
Bringing through youth is one of the keys to success, but you can't afford to ignore the availability of top talent (not that I include Clubb in that), if you can afford it.
If Wigan see some real quality who they can fit under the cap, they'd be wrong not to enquire purely on the basis that it might irritate a kid who hasn't yet, and may never, make the grade.
