Does it matter if he's intentionally kicked it? It wasn't a loose carry from Inglis and the boot knocks the ball right out of his hands. Had it been intentional then it could be penalised, but not intentional is play on.

It's a similar situation to the last ditch tackle during the Wigan-Saints game where people were puzzled by the decision to award a drop out after Hughes appeared to knock the ball out. It wasn't intentionally knocked out but the attacking player isn't responsible for promoting the ball forward so it's play on.

how can you put a player on report for attacking a team mate?
