I see that Ian Smith is the video ref in France. He was the video ref last year and with about 10 minutes to go he disallowed a pefectly good try (by Hoffman, I think) which would have given us the lead with 10 minutes to go.
He also disallowed a good try by Jack Hughes last week at Leeds.
I can understand a referee making a wrong decision because he has to decide instantly but there is no excuse for a video referee to make terrible decisions.
The fact that it has happened twice against Wigan gives food for thought.
Or am I paranoid? Don't answer that.

It's the RFL's version of a handicap system to keep us on our toes and give the other lesser teams a chance of catching us.

Last weeks was just evening up the lima try, well i hope it was as it woild just be incompetance for any other reason.

And it's incompetence to attempt to even something up that he shouldn't have been trying to even up as it was nowt to do with the video ref Jack Hughes' try was A-OK and should have been awarded.

In that case he should be reprimanded.
Anyway, aren't decisions like Lima's try supposed to even themselves up without any help?
I've seen many Leeds' tries scored off forward passes but I've never seen the video ref subsequently disallow a perfectly good try.

Never been a big beliver in the old "they even themselves up over the year" routine as you could be 40-0 up when it evens itselef up if you get my drift.

As soon as he went to the screen I said he wouldnt give it no matter what as we got away with one with Limas try.

But on GMR last night they had the match referee on and he said the Lima try would have been awarded any way because the Leeds player knocked the ball out of Lima's grasp and then Lima touched it down, making it a perfectly good try.

So smith should be sacked for being incompetant for getting the hughes no try wrong then.

Why a video ref if the games not being shown on Sky?

All the games in france have a video ref. Plus its on french television
