For anyone who witnessed the treatment by the warrington stewards of the Wigan fan tonight please get in touch because such inane viciousness and brutality cannot be allowed in our sport.

We have reported this to the police and the Wigan and Warrington clubs but as much support and fact and proof as possible would be appreciated. This cannot be allowed to happen in our sport as it was truly appalling and something that should never happen again.

Ive been going since the very early 1960s and there is usually some incident or other.

Your Ultras were buzzing off it.

From where i was standing it looked like your 'Ultras' had enough and start fighting each other.

It was MYL 'stewards' (bouncers) and I expect nothing less every time I go to Warrington. I saw the guy who got dragged down being held by every limb by 4/5 bouncers being carried down the steps backwards and being dropped which made a hell of a noise and sounded painful, then everybody seemed to panic and surged forwards/sideways. Heard the bouncers calling him a 'little sh*t', I left straight after as I felt scared. As I was leaving the scumbag bouncers were on their way back in, rolling their sleeves up, pulling their collars up like big tough men and joking and laughing about it, all pumped up. The MYL bouncers are always overzealous and looking for trouble, all too eager to jump on people for the slightest thing. It makes everything even more tense!

Yes but that doesn't make it right. It was truly sickening to see and is something that shouldn't be happening. The police agreed with us and if something is not done this will just continue to keep happening.

From what I could see some wigan fans were rattling the advertising boards and a steward was trying to make them stop and instead he grabbed the lad around the neck. Got other stewards to help him drag him down the steps and quite rightly the Brigantes went and tried to help. The lad was just helpless and got mauled by the stewards. It was a complete disgrace the way he was treated and to think that the stewards were laughing, posing for pictures on the pitch and generally taking the mick out of our fans who were rightly disgusted by what had happened should cost them their jobs.

I would be surprised if the lad didn't end up in A & E it was so bad. No matter what anyone had done it didn't deserve the treatment it got.

Hopefully it was all picked up on CCTV. A family member of mine was seriously injured by two MYL bouncers and it sounds very familiar, what with the choke hold and other bouncers wading in, and he hadn't done anything wrong either. I hate going anywhere and seeing MYL as it makes me feel even less safe.
