What now? I'd say nothing really. We put it down to a bad day at the office and move on. We all know the circumstances of the missing players and we are all painfully aware that we are lacking creativity. We get players back, we can't get worse so must get better! It's just about perspective and whilst it may be sad, the standard of SL is such that we will not be far off when the pots are handed out. Let's just see how we go on Friday!

I don't think there's any easy answer to the OP's question. In the short term we can't panic and as bad as the result was yesterday there have been some way OTT reactions. We shouldn't be getting nilled or shipping 60 odd points against anyone but with the amount of salary cap sat on the sidelines plus the bug that went round disrupting training yesterday was never going to go well IMO. Start getting a few bodies back over the next few weeks and things start looking better already. For all the hysteria around a very bad performance (credit to Wakey by the way - no sour grapes/excuses here) we're still 2 points off top.

Long term I think there are definitely fundamental issues regarding recruitment, coaching, training etc that we're not getting right. I don't think there's an easy fix tbh.

There were 13 players in the side at Wakey who are part of our 25 nominated first team players including six England internationals. We may have 10 out technically but since we can't take 23 first team players to a game and we know MM is out for the season and Sam T wasn't due back this "we had 10 out" reads lamer every time I see it mentioned.

I'd say we definitely have 9 players out and possibly 10 if Crosby is included at the expense of Sutton. I'm not sure why mentioning that is 'Lame'.
