Back then maybe; he's nothing special now. I remember when he went to the Knights; I watched him with interest, I thought he might go well, but in fact he was really disappointing. For a half-back, he just didn't take control at all. simply shipping the ball on down the line when he received. Didn't even do much of the kicking, as I recall.

No we didnt, thats what it would have gone over as the league never accepted that contracts were changed. We never actually were charged for that we were charged for breaking the spirit of the cap.

The club's argument was based on the fact that nine of their players agreed to defer wages for last September, October and November in returned for improved contracts in 2007.

However, the panel said that was against the spirit of the salary cap.
