| As we have all seen since the start of the season, Fitz is simply amazing. His work ethic each week is top noch and he holds nothing back.
Last night's performance was again outstanding, and without seeing the stats I would imagine that he made between 25 - 30 tackles and had around 20 hit ups. Whatever the stats say, it was another phenomonal effort.
The man seems to be a machine and he gives us 80 mins most weeks. Although he seems to be a freak, should we be expecting these types of performance every single week?. Surly the point will come when the guy deserves a breather, if only to try to prevent burn out or injury. So question is when, if ever do people feel that Fitz is due a rest?
For me, next week at Salford would be the ideal chance to give the guy a break before the Easter programme and two tough games with Leeds.

| Good point, but i think fitz is big enough and ugly enough to let the staff know if hes feeling the pace.a younger player may just carry on until he drops so to speak, but i think he'll be in constant monitering with agar and the conditioner and the decision may ultimately have to come from craig himself.I agree though,in that id like to see him have a week off before the huge 10 days we have coming up soon!

| People saying we should rest players for the salford game need to give their heads a bang. We have been rubbish in our last 2 away games

Agreed. Take this game lightly and it's Crusaders all over again.

Spot on, Salford SHOULD be a comfortable two points if we play to our potential. But you can;t take anything for granted at the moment.
As for Fitz, 25-30 tackles is doing him a big disservice, he was close to 50 imo. And half of those were from leading the line at the kick and chase. After 75 minutes he was still working as had as after 5 minutes. Absolute machine.
I'd also like to point out Dowes though. Really good performance from him aswell on a night when the pack had to stand up and be counted. In fact all the pack did a decent job. Especially considering we only had 3 subs for 70 minutes.

shouldn't make wholesale changes, but I would give Moa and Washbrook a run out to keep them match fit, as we will need them over easter

I'd give Manu a rest as well and get Burnett in as surely he'll play at some point over the Easter period.

| Saying that think fitz shouid have come off early last night when the game was obviously won, dont want him to suffer from burnout through too many minutes early on in the season

| I'd bench Fitz next week, he was blowing really hard last night and with easter coming we need him fresh. I am not underestimating Salford but we should have enough without him having to play the full game. Maybe bring Washy in to play 13?
Fitz needs a rest I think.

Good shout. I do worry about the pack without him though, just because of the tonne of work he gets through - literally the work of 1.5 men - so impossible to replace like for like.

I agree but he can't play week in/out and with easter looming next week is the ideal time to rest him. Salford will be a tough game but we need to be able to win without him.
