| Well its nearly upon us the start of the season, I for one cant wait for a week on Sunday!
After watching the derby friendly but absent from the Huddersfield game, I believe our forwards will be more than a match for anyone which should make it easier for our new scrum half to settle in.
Our left edge could be a problematic area defensively but overall I am fairly confident we will go well.

I wouldn't risk Burns if not 100%
Up the Robins!

| I'd drop Welham, as he's been a defensive weak link for many years and will continue to get exposed. Salter & Hall at centre. Hall is no better defensively, but is a better attacking centre and his goal kicking attributes will be needed.

| I think we have to find a spot for hall, because his goal kicking could be crucial.

| Problem is although a turnstile he is the only centre we have who can run good lines and supports a line break. If we could mash salters defensive abilities with welhams attacking prowess and halls kicking abilities then bobs your uncle. Hall at 6 for me

| Hall needs to be in the middle on the ball more wasted out wide. Burns at 13 would give us a real attacking threat

| Burns at 13 is an outdated nostalgic view of the role of a No.13 and it will never work. 13 is another prop these days, the 3rd pivot role in our side is Eden.

| I agree that 13 is used for another forward but it would give us more attacking options and less obvious for the opponents to defend

| I would also like to see the role of a more traditional L/F brought back into the game. These players are still around, we have Sinfield and O'Loughlan but there are not many about. Burns is a bit on the small side IMO.

| O'Loughlan probs the only one now as sinfield plays at S/O but that's to allow burrows to play hooker for again attacking reasons. But this is a good thing for rovers to have all these options in several positions fighting for places

| It really is the strongest pack we have had since been in SL, best in SL, not at all but we now have really good depth in the forwards. To think we could have two giants in Cox and Green possibly not making the 17 says it all, fingers crossed their form dictates them been in the 17 though.
