Kris welham has signed for salford red devils,on a 2year deal.Shame really,would have been more than happy to see him back with us.

I think his best rugby was before his injury. We need to look forward not backwards.

Very good try scoring record but we have seen for seasons past that he is one of the biggest liabilities in Rugby League with his defensive game. Can imagine a lot of teams video preparation would be to target him.

Let's be honest with ourselves, Welham would walk into our team. He was quality for the majority of time that he was at Rovers and loved playing for the club. Both he and the club needed their heads smashing together for not coming to an agreement before he left.
It's done now though and everybody has moved on.

Yes he was quality for the majority of the time but not in the latter stages and that was the important time when negotiating a new contract. He probably would not have been a first choice centre last year and would have been relying on injuries for a game. That was probably reflected in the offer we made him that he felt unable to accept. I'm not sure he would walk into our team now either unless his defence has improved dramatically.

Welham left 'cos he wanted more money. Then we signed Thornley for a ridiculous amount. Work that one out.

He looked quality outside Ben Galea. Otherwise less so imho.

Welham was just about the worst defender I have ever seen to play in the top flight. Ironically, folk who slagged Dixon and Eden also bang the Welham drum, #homegrownblinkers
