| Just thought I'd ask what you think Eagles worst defeat was. I don't mean their heaviest defeats, but ones where the Eagles snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and we would all like to pretend didn't really happen.
The one that comes to my mind is Eagles 44 Workington 46 at DVS in 2006. As I remember it we were 44 - 22 up at half time and then went to sleep.
To compensate we smashed them at Derwent Park by 70 points to 10 or thereabouts.

| Losing at home to London Skolars was horrendous. Remember that Worky one too.
Thornhill Trojans will take some beating though.

| Wasn't there a match soon after we reformed when York Wasps or whatever they were called then, beat us at DVS and Mark Aston came on to the concourse at the end of the match and apologised for the Eagles performance. He was furious. No idea what the score was though.

| I remember we drew against them at home when they were bottom, and about two weeks later they went bust, although I wasn't there so it could be that one?!

Ah - the 2003 final wasn't so bad. Keighley might have finished third but only on points difference and we put 98 past Skolars when they were having an exceptionally bad day. Keighley probably played better than us in the final.
However - getting beaten by them at Lawkholme Lane in the Regal Trophy just before $uperleague was a bad day ......
Also, losing the Yorkshire Cup Final to Wakefield. 21-0 down within about 3 minutes of kick-off .....

| In that case can I say the win over Gateshead in the Northern Rail Cup last season felt like a defeat?

| No. That was a hard fought game in appalling conditions.
Three players wore flippers instead of boots.
